4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable practical handbook, April 22, 2010

This review is from: The Trauma Manual: Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (Lippincott Manual Series (Formerly known as the Spiral Manual Series)) (Paperback)
Certainly I enjoyed reading this handbook, easy to read and recall, well written and organized. It provides basic trauma overview management for medical students, residents level but not above that.the book lacks illustrations may be because it is a handbook???!

Overall, it is worth reading. It provides all the need to know trauma info in a pocket size

5.0 out of 5 stars great pocket manual, February 18, 2011

This review is from: The Trauma Manual: Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (Lippincott Manual Series (Formerly known as the Spiral Manual Series)) (Paperback)
this is a great hand held intro to trauma surgery. the initial chapters of the book deal with subjects such as kinematics of injury, trauma systems and the basics of trauma resuscitation. after that, pretty much every system and its potential injuries are covered adequately for a book of this size. it should go without saying that this is meant to supplement, not replace larger texts.

i found it nice to have around as there can be some down time if the pager isnt going off.
