As with the other good shows, it got the ax too soon,

This review is from: Trauma: Season One (DVD)
When NBC first started advertising for this show back in 2009, I set my ancient VCR to record the episodes. After the explosive season premiere episode, I was hooked. I was heartbroken when the show was yanked off the air due to poor ratings (die American Idol die) and had to rely on the episodes on NBC's website until they were eventually taken down.
After the Jay Leno show tanked, NBC brought back Trauma, but unfortunately, the show was given the ax again (die DWTS die) and pulled from the lineup for good. NBC also did a poor job of hyping this show for its return. I didn't even realize the show was back on the air until I had missed the first two episodes. Thank God for high speed internet at work. If you're in to the EMS rescue thing, try this show out. Taking place in San Francisco, this show follows the lives of paramedics, both in the ambulances and in the helicopters as well as their personal lives and daily struggles. Some of the later episodes deal with one of the characters having PTSD from a crash as well as a death when he was younger. This show is awesome. It reminds me sort of as a newer version of Third Watch starring the deliciously yummy Coby Bell. The humor that is woven in with the drama provides just enough balance to keep the show going and the romance adds in a little bit of flair, but it's not overdone as in soap operas. What you get with this set is all of the episodes on DVD. I just wish NBC would have put all of the episodes on the disc rather than stopping at just the ones that were aired on TV. The series finale left us hanging and at least for me, it left me begging for more.

I loved Trauma and was really sad to see it get canceled without an ending. Loved Cliff Curtis as "Rabbit". But I'm very happy they're at least putting it out on DVD for the fans.

It took a little while to develop the characters in this series, but the last three episodes were really getting good. The characters had emotional depth and were believable. It's too bad that the network pulled the show before it developed its full following.

when i first watched this show i was hooked, as were most of the veiwers, yes it isnt medically accurate at times, but what show is nowadays? i loved the characters, and the plot lines and thought it was a great show that deserved more of a chance! and i was happy to view it on netflix whenever i pleased, but i just found out the other day it was taken off, so i found it here at a great price, i wish it was on tv, and i wish the viewers would have gotten a proper send off, at least a season 2!! but ill just have to settle for the dvd and cherish the remains of a great show

Traumatized.....that's how I felt when they pulled the plug on this drama that actually had some substance to it. Who knows why this did not make it. To me the show was character based more than on the work they did. Maybe this worked against it in the long run. Then again, maybe there were just too many hospital / medical type programs on when this first came out. It's hard to believe but it has been two years since this was yanked off the air. At least we have the memory of 18 wonderful episodes. Thanks to Amazon for offering this at a really great price too!

Best Medical Show. Ever!,
This review is from: Trauma: Season One (DVD)
I can't believe NBC cancelled this show! Trauma was very different from other medical shows in a good way. Trauma received very little viewers but (in my personal opinion) this show didn't get the publicity it deserved. The viewers that did catch on, however, were hooked. Buy this DVD (and on here) for the low price, because you won't easily find this in stores. Or at least I haven't. This show shouldn't have been cancelled, but NBC claims they were spending more on episodes than it was bringing in. Maybe sometime soon another network can pick it up, as NBC is notorious for quickly cancelling new shows based on initial reviews! Buy this DVD set. You will love it. Period.

Loved this show for the short time it was on. To bad the networks have to move it around and not give it a chance to survive.
