I think this book and Brain Injury Medicine by Zasler,Katz, and Zafonte are must haves for a tbi survivor and/or thier family members. It cover just about everyting you would ever need to look up. I like the book also becuase it is just that, a book. I am able to read, re-read and highlight areas and come back to the place I just left off. New learning is a major problem with TBI survivors, and as quick and useful a computer might be, sometimes a book wins out in my world.

I am alive today because of the work of Dr. Mark J. Ashley (author of this book).

This book has been written and regularly updated by the man that's the best in the world at causing recovery from Traumatic Brain Injury.

Dr. Mark J. Ashley is a man that practices constant learning, constant improvement.

Because of his 33-year commitment to the subject matter, the treatments have been completely changed, and countless patients left to die are leading normal lives. Please keep in mind, it's written for therapists, case managers and physicians, educators, discharge planners, and neuropsychologists. There are some scientific terms, but Dr. Mark J. Ashley explains the content in an easy to understand manner.

Words cannot express my gratitude for what this great man has done.

This is a very expensive book and really not worth the money for the average person. It's more a collection of medical term papers that may be more useful for doctors.

I have read several of these books and there are some amazing facilities in the country but this book speaks as if it is one of them. There is nothing in the book that is insightful. It just seems to be an individuals way to fulfill an ego goal and the facility form which he comes from cannot hold water to the top ones. Sorry? :(
