I ordered this and it seems to be nice quality, but it is too small. But it is a tight fit for a US passport (doesn't really close evenly) and simply does not fit many other passports such as Canadian. Also the storage flaps are both partial, so if you need to carry something important like a visa it would not be very secure.

The genuine leather case is a snug fit at first, but over time, the rich leather stretches to wrap itself well around standard sized passport. Sleek and elegant, yet durable, the case performs admirably when protecting travel documents from common travel hazards such as shoving in a jeans back pocket, spilling a beverage rushing to the gate and running over with suitcase wheels (all of which I have done). Eventually, I had to buy more due to popular demand by co-workers.

We've always sorta' babied our Passports during travel....in and out of bags,purses,pockets, etc. can cause wear and tear. Now we can be assured our Passports will be safe in these really classy looking leather folders.....with room for tickets and other small documents.

Another reviewer here mentioned she had trouble fitting her US Passport into this case....Not so for us. They are,in fact,made for US Passports and work very well.

****TIP WORTH READING : There is a white label sewn into an inside seam which needs to be snipped out with tiny scissors in order to help the passport slide in and sit smoothly. You can turn the leather inside-out easily (this leather is pliable) to do this.****

I just received this today and it is totally way beyond my expectation of what I thought this was going to be. It is a very soft black leather, high quality and so professional looking. The word 'passport' is embossed on the top cover and 'samsonite' is also embossed on the bottom but very small. In the inside on the right side is a flap where one side of your passport slides in, you can also slip in a driver's license or something small of that nature. Samsonite definitely prove its reputation for quality and craftmanship. You gotta get one!

After buying 3 other passport covers - one too large, one too stiff, one cheap material...I've finally found the perfect cover (I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to accessories - look and feel are important to me)

This cover fits perfectly snug around my US Passport! It's made of a nice, feel-good leather, and I'm not sure about everyone else, but I like the fact that it doesn't have slots for credit cards and other forms of ID (I don't think it's a good idea to use your passport cover as a wallet)

Bottom line...if you're looking for a nice leather passport cover and don't want to spend $40-50, the Samsonite cover is great!

Exactly what I was looking for in a thin tight lightweight passport holder without any frills or extras. Nice quality soft leather with minimum bulk for your pocket, purse, briefcase, or backpack. Excellent!

This is a great item, I received in an extremely timely manner.

This case is made of a great feeling leather. I loved it when I first got it. It has stood up well over time, and throughout my trip, it did well. easy to take the passport in and out of and it felt great. I received a few compliments by passport agents during our multiple stops.

It fits snug and perfectly.

I purchased 2 passport covers for my husband and I as we were going on a cruise. The covers fit like a glove, a great purchase.

I have been needing something like this for a while. I spend a fair bit of time in the tropics so my passport has gotten a little warped over time. My passport fits in fairly tightly. I hope the leather does stretch a little after a while. It seems odd though that you would insert the picture page of the passport into the cover as they seem to indicate in the photos. Doing so would cover the photo and half of the info. Putting it the other way around seems to make more sense. Seems a bit expensive for what it is.
