I found the construction to be sturdy and large enough for my 270# husband. However, we both found the foot rest to be a tad flimsy and low to the ground. I found the width too narrow for a woman's hips causing discomfort or even pain. Because of these shortcomings, I feel I overpaid.

Ours too broke after 2 camping trips. It seemed that I really had to flex the footrest to get it into the bag. I think this put too much strain on the plastic connector. I wish now that I had not forced it into the bag, because otherwise it was a great chair. We are now looking at the Xscape Designs® Sportline FR® XL Folding Chair with Footrest to replace it.

I have a new Big Bubba chair. The metal support holding the footrest to the main leg broke after one month. This is not satisfactory! This is what I would expect of a chair purchased at Wal-Mart for $9.99.
