I was surpised how well made this travel charger is, especially for the price. It is a little heavy but it is a heavy duty product. Rather than carry a car charger and an indoor charger when you travel you can just bring the car charger. The adaptert works with all other products that use a 12 volt adapter and I can even use it for the small electric cooler that I have for my car. When the prongs on my cell phone charger broke, I just used my car charger to charge my phone; I did not have to buy an expensive phone charger. I originally bought it to use with my Garmin GPS which came with a car cord but no indoor charger. It was a lot cheaper to buy the adapter and it offers more possible uses.
