The book contains a wealth general travel information for many destinations in the US. The book is very well layed out and is sectioned off by region of the US. Also this book has many handy maps with corresponding descriptions of the items shown. This book is a great place to start when planning a vacation here in the US.

I ride my own motorcycle & this is a book you can study before going on a trip and can map out exactly where you want to go.

This is the best road atlas and a guide book I have ever used. I used it for all my trips in US over last 16 years until it fell apart. Now I take only selected pages and it still works great. It is amazingly still fairly up to date, some testimony to infrastructure development in US over last 20 years. Its a great book for planning a trip despite its age.

This was great book in its day, but being old some of the places of interest are now closed. Do your research before you go, but it is a good idea maker with good maps.

My 2 sisters and I are planning a major trip from Las Vegas to New york in the fall and this is the perfect book for us as now we will not miss anything along the way.. the shipping was pretty quick also. Book is in very good shape, thank you...

I first borrowed this guide from the local library, and 10 minutes with it and I know I had to own it. I hope that Reader's Digest will publish an up to date one soon. However, 99% of what is in the older versions is exactly what you want to know when you are traveling to or through an area. The layout of the maps makes finding the ones you want a snap, and the points of interest chosen to highlight are right on. This is a wonderful book for travel planning here in the United States!
