5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book I Bought on Namibia, November 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Namibia Travel Guide (Paperback)
I've been sent to Namibia to work for a year. This is one of my life rings. It is up to date (I wish I had been able to get it before I went) and very informative. In general the Globtrotter guides are one of the best guidebooks around. This is no exception. It has lots of information on Windhoeh (the capital) and Swakopmund (the very best place to visit. The information on restaurants is up to date, very important when travelling around and imagining eating a a place you've seen a great review for. The maps are ideal for travelling, I never had any problems using them. This book is small enough not to be a pest to carry around but detailed enough to give you all the goss and info you'll need. It is inexpensive but packed with colour photos. Buy it and go!
