Good, but with caveats, May 7, 2010
This review is from: Travel Tow Luggage Handle Adapter w/ 360 Rotation
I bought this primarily to add a few inches to the handle height of my carry on case - it was an ideal weight and size, but just a bit too short for me. For that purpose it works admirably well. It's solid and surprisingly heavy.
There are no instructions provided. Perhaps they figure it's idiot proof, but they hadn't dealt with anyone as idiotic as me. I had to go on to the website to check how it was intended to fasten, and also work out what the extra (single) piece of velcro is for (apparently so you can attach it to your luggage when it's not in use).
The thing I would change is the 360 rotation, I sometimes find when walking over uneven pavements that I'm dragging the case along on its side. Perhaps a rotation through 90 degrees would work better.
On the whole, I would recommend it. Not seen anything better yet.

It Does The Job - VERY, VERY WELL!!!, December 28, 2010
This review is from: Travel Tow Luggage Handle Adapter w/ 360 Rotation
Pros: Swivel handle relieves the wrist of strain (due to "unnatural" positioning), it adds a few inches of "length" to prevent the towed item from striking your heels, VERY easy to install, VERY durable (though not "indestructible :) ), "slip-resistant" material on the handle ensures a secure hand grip, dual Velcro straps provide a VERY STRONG AND STABLE attachment to the luggage handle, the price is VERY REASONABLE!
Cons: the Velcro straps can come loose (though it does take a lot of "pull" to do it!)
The Title Line is all you need to know! :)
I bought this unit to replace a 5+ year-old "Travel Tow" that eventually broke after many years of hard use. Trust me - once you attach one to your favorite piece(s) of "rolling luggage" (mine is a 3-ball bowling bag) and use it for awhile, you'll wonder why it took you so long to get one! The handle fits nicely in the hand and the swivel function lets your wrist rotate to a "normal and natural" position for stress-free pulling of the item. The added "length" of the "Travel Tow" (approx. 6") helps prevent your heels from "getting caught, etc." on the item you're towing. Finally, if the towed item should "capsize" on you (i.e., fall off a curb), the swivel handle will prevent your wrist from being twisted and such (i.e., the item won't "wrench" out of your hand).
The "Travel Tow" design uses ** TWO (2) ** Velcro straps to secure it to the "luggage" handle (competing devices generally use ONLY ONE strap). Using 2 straps provides extra security - if one strap "lets go", the other strap keeps the "Travel Tow" secured to the "luggage" handle until you re-secure the loosened strap (IOW, if one strap "lets go", your "luggage" won't suddenly be "left behind").
Finally, the "Travel Tow" can assist you in lifting your luggage into your car or up to a bench/table. HOWEVER, be aware that the Velcro straps ARE NOT designed for "heavy lifting" - if they let go during the lift, the item WILL FALL. Thankfully, it really does take a lot of "pull" for the Velcro to "let go".
In conclusion: if your hand/wrist/arm gets "tired" when pulling a "rolling" bag behind you, the "Travel Tow" is just what you need to provide relief to your luggage-pulling hand/wrist/arm.

Best Add-On to Any Rolling Luggage, October 24, 2010
This review is from: Travel Tow Luggage Handle Adapter w/ 360 Rotation
This handle put the ''ease'' into Easy! It not only extends the handle for my husband who has long arms, it makes towing luggage much easier as the handle rotates, so you don't have to. Your bag always tows on an even keel without dumping over, and turning corners now is more like a thought than any kind of effort. I don't think any traveler should be without this. Of course, you don't know what you're missing if you don't have one, but once you do you'll want one on every bag.
