Travel Magna Doodle (Colors May Vary)

We have both the magna doodle and the doodle pro, and the magna doodle writing seems to be much clearer and it is holding up much better than the doodle pro

I ordered this for my 2 year old son to use when we travel by plane or car trips. It is light weight and fits well into a travel bag. I draw pictures for him and he enjoys erasing them. It is not quite as nice as the larger size magna doodle, but it is a good sized toy for traveling.

We bought the Travel Magna Doodle for our daughter's second birthday just prior to a vacation to Alaska. Thirteen hours of air travel each way and numerous car rides in between were made significantly more pleasant by having this along. Although her "pictures" were nothing recognizable, she identified them as various animals we were seeing on our trip, things on the airplane, shapes, family members, etc. She of course enjoyed erasing drawings as much as drawing or having them drawn for her. It's probably one of the best things we could take on our trip!

One of my collegues suggested using this to teach phonics. It's been working great. Kids really like to erase and change vowel sounds and it certainly keeps them interested (more fun than pencil and paper) Try having your child write their spelling words on it!

We needed something to keep my 1 1/2 year old son occupied during a very long flight. I brought this out as the plane doors closed and it kept him occupied there and back. He plays with it in the house all the time. He is still too young to understand that crayons don't go on furniture, so this is a great way for him to create and not leave a mess behind.

Awesome toy for home, in the car, or when you are out (like a restaurant)

My kids love to play with this in church. We've had it over a year and it's held up very, very well. It works in the car, it works everywhere. Glad we bought this. Good fine-motor control practice too.

My boys enjoy playing with Magna Doodle in the car, but they are hard on them and they easily dent the screen by pushing too hard.

Our kids enjoy this product mostly in the van but also like to use it inside as well. It adds to the enterainment for them while in the van. It provides for using their imaginations, creativity and learning. A great product and quite durable as well.

I got this for my 22 month old ahead of a day's worth of travel to the Caribbean for vacation. I was alone with her, and knew that I would have potential meltdowns due to the 4 am start to the day, and the long trip. But this little tool was light to carry, easy to whip out, and quite a thrill for her when required. In fact I had a bit of fun I must confess drawing on it as well!

One criticism: the little ball on the tip of the wand seems to be a bit fragile, as it pushed in a bit and led to the plastic portion of the pen scraping on the screen when held at certain angles. But in general it was good value for money.
