its thin and flat and will fit in your purse the pieces are magnetic and flat, but where do you pot the dice. they dont fit

I was looking for something easily portable like this for the purposes of practicing opening moves and such while learning the game. It works very well to sit with a backgammon strategy book and work through exercises with this little hand-held magnetic board.

I agree with the other reviewer that it's a bit of a drawback not having any dice/doubling cube storage, but that was the trade-off for a the slim, wallet-style design.

My biggest concern is if any of the checkers were to be damaged or lost, there is no replacing them without buying a whole new set--unlike standard sets for which you can easily buy new checkers.

Generally speaking, backgammon players aren't well-catered to in the marketplace for some reason so this was a gem of a find!

In all, this is a really nice product and you can't beat it for the price.

First of all I have to say that the price and the quality of this product are impressive, however the colors are not as advertised on Amazon, the points don't have the nice colors you see on the picture, they're black and red and because half of the checkers are black there is no contrast at all when they move to a point of the same color.

The portability and size and magnetic blots are great! Only criticism is that there is no place to keep the little dice.
