5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I've been having terrible calf strain from running and other various activities. I got the stick for Christmas and it has been amazing! The best time to use it is directly after exercising to get the lactic acid moving to help prevent sore muscles. I also take it into the shower with me and use it after I've been in about 10-15 minutes (or warm up my muscles with a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised, but smells bad...
As a runner, I'm always sore. This stick does a good job of smoothing out the achy and stiff areas and seems to help me recover quicker. The size is great (I haul it in my backpack to work). My only criticism (as others have pointed out) is the handle smell. I've tried cleaning it, airing it out, nothing works. The smell gets on your hands when you use it so I always...

I've been having terrible calf strain from running and other various activities. I got the stick for Christmas and it has been amazing! The best time to use it is directly after exercising to get the lactic acid moving to help prevent sore muscles. I also take it into the shower with me and use it after I've been in about 10-15 minutes (or warm up my muscles with a heating pad prior to rolling). I wouldn't use this on "cold" muscles. All-in-all it is a great product. I also have a foam roller I got from the sports store which works great on tight IT Bands and sore hamstrings.

Makes my wife nauseous.

The Stick is exactly what my Chiropractor uses on my neck to relive the muscle tension. It is fantastic.

I own the original "Stick" and bought this one specifically for traveling. Way too much flex for anyone who wants to get deep myofascial release. They do offer a "stiff" stick but at a ludicrous price of $48, I'll pass. Oh well...

I like a good deep massage after my workout.

This little tool works fine.

The only thing that I wish was different is its flexibility. Because it is too flexible (for me) it takes more effort to apply more pressure.

Other than that is fantastic for legs, arms, shoulders.

Combine this with the thera cane and you are set!

This simple little tool has been a life saver! I wasn't so sure about the travel size, but it has turned out to be a great decision. The shorter length is easier to use and store.

THIS ITEM HAS HELPED WITH THE CONTINUED PAIN IN MY LEFT HIP AND MY LEFT LEG. SURPRISINGLY, IT REALLY HELPS BECAUSE MY SKIN HURTS IF YOU PRESS TOO HARD. CONTROLLING YOUR OWN PRESSURE POINTS, CONTROLS THE PAIN SO IT IS BEARABLE. GREAT ITEM..........

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic stick, May 15, 2009
This review is from: The Travel Stick Muscle Massager Fitness Health (Misc.)
I have seen booths where they were hawking these and stayed away. After pulling my calf muscle during a run my niece had me try her Marathon stick. It worked fantastic. I picked up the travel stick and use it after every bike ride. I brought it in to work and a couple co-workers liked it so much they also bought it.(she uses it on her daughter for growing pains) Seems strange to pay $30 for a plastic stick but hey, it works!

Overall I am pleased with the "stick" my one complaint is that it seams to be developing a curve where I've been using it on my quads

This massage stick is a great tool for massage after cycling. For what I use it for--primarily legs--it is a great size for everyday use and for travel
