I have bought the paperback Lonely Planet Australia guidebook. After I got my kindle, I was thinking to get an e-book focusing on Sydney. After browsing several alternatives, I chose this one. It turns out to be the correct choice. It's far more than I expected. I don't have the Sydney guide from LP and other major series in my kindle, but I had flipped them over in the bookstore before. I would say this book is much better than them. Very comprehensive and informative. Unlike LP which is more or less a backpacker's guide, emphasizing too much on the accommodations/restaurants/pubs etc, this book, in addition to a very detailed eat/drink/sleep guide, gives very detailed descriptions of the spots themselves. There are also lots of images and maps, and most of them are colorful. Although kindle at the moment is black and white, the resolution is not bad in kindle. If you want, you can also read the colorful pictures/maps in your kindle for PC/android/iphone/etc.

So I bought this, started reading, and it really seemed familiar.
That's because some of it at least is identical to Wikipedia.
