Bluegrass masters just "doing it all".,

I've owned this album for quite a few years, and it never grows old... Great stuff! Excellent picking, wonderful singing (although the vocals are not the "high and lonesome" ones that one would expect from a group of bluegrass giants like this), just superb musicianship all around. "Scissors, Paper and Stone" is one of the coolest cuts I've ever heard, and how could anyone not like a song as happy, funny and downright infectious as "A Walk in the Irish Rain"? 5 stars and then some!!

Outstanding,

I heard a song played at a blugrass festival and asked who originally did it. So, I was led to this cd and it is very good. From straight ahead hard driving bluegrass or celtic tinged music to humorous tracks such as Sasqwatch everything is done with class. Outstanding picking, clean and precise. This is a fine addition to any collection as well as a good introduction for folks that have not listened to bluegrass before. In either case you will most likely find yourself listening to the cd over and over.

It'll make you dance one moment & stir your heart the next,

I have owned this album for almost ten years, and it has only grown better over time. I am awed by the technical precision of the instrumentalists - they seem to literally be making their fiddles, banjos, guitars, whatevers dance! But equally moving are the lyrics which range from the profound to the truly humorous. When I bought this album (on a rec from a friend) I had never heard bluegrass before. By the time I finished playing the album I was a committed fan of the genre. I give this album my highest recommendation - both for neophytes and old-seasoned listeners alike.
