5.0 out of 5 stars Best of Hard and Apple cases, June 1, 2010
This review is from: Traveler Folio Case for iPad (Electronics)
I just got this case. It is like a hard case with the Apple case's cover and stand system. The case itself is very thin, maybe too thin. It will protect you case from scratches but do not drop it. Since the back only attaches at the corners the sides are not protected. This is not an issue for me since I will not drop and plan on sticking it in my computer bag when I travel. I also like that the case does not alter the shape of the case and gives me multiple options to prop up my Ipad. Just like the apple case but without fingerprints.

1.0 out of 5 stars I Wanted To Love This..., September 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Traveler Folio Case for iPad (Electronics)
This is the very first product review I have ever decided to actually write. I have been purchasing things from Amazon for years now and this is the very first thing I researched and went ahead with in spite of the poor reviews. Now... I am completely kicking myself!

I use my iPad for everything and I love it. I take extremely good care of it and never treat it rough. The reason I say this is due to the fact that this case is absolutely falling apart. Let me give you a breakdown:

Day of arrival:
- I carefully unboxed the item and placed my iPad into the case.
- Approximately 1 hour later I noticed that the edges seem to be fraying.
- I took my iPad out of the case and carefully used a lighter to burn the edges of the thread. (Note: Never pull threads, this will only cause more threads to unravel.)

Second day of ownership:
- More threads needed to be seared.
- Even more threads need to be seared.

Third thru 10th day of ownership:
- More and more threads keep coming un raveled.

11th day of ownership:
- Other than the constant burning of threads, the folding binder of the case starts separating. (The felt is separating from the fake leather backing.)

15th day of ownership: (Today)
- The threads are completely under control.
- The place where the binding meets the back of the hard shell that holds the iPad is now peeling off.
- In other words, soon the flap that covers the iPad will soon be ripped off the case.

For over 40.00... This case should be lasting much longer than half a month. If you are thinking about buying this case because of it's sleek design and really nice way the iPad is connected... DON'T!!!!!!!!!!

Please take my word for it and stay far away from this case. It is absolutely highway robbery.

2.0 out of 5 stars Basically ok, August 18, 2010

This review is from: Traveler Folio Case for iPad (Electronics)
I got my Traveler Folio Case after a few weeks wait, and was initially impressed by the construction. However, after only a week of heavy use the case has started to come apart from the cover, short loose strands hanging from the edges.

Also, the inside cover material gathers dust and stuff pretty easily. The seam has come loose, which is apparent when folding the cover behind the iPad. It seems that the case hasn't gone through too much testing, as the materials give up easily.

The case is not so good in typing, although the angle is just perfect: this is due to the fact that there is no locking mechanism, and there are no rubber pieces holding the case in place.

The only thing which the case offers is protection without adding to the bulk of the iPad. If this is what you're looking for, then go for it.
