The Escape MK-II Series
When Traveler Guitar released their ever popular Escape series guitars in 2003, they not only exceeded the expectations of guitar purists, but also their own dedicated customer base. In 2007 they did it again with the Escape MK-II line. The updated Escape line still includes a full-scale steel string, classical, and bass model. Traveler Guitar consulted with revolutionary guitar builder John Carruthers to improve the ergonomics of the Escape line; making the MK-II feel more like a traditional guitar than ever before. Not only has the body been updated, but the new MK-II also boasts a custom Element-Hybrid pickup system from none other than the industry's leading pickup innovator, L.R. Baggs. All three models come equipped with the system which has onboard electronics with a 2-band EQ, a built in headphone amplifier, and like all Travelers, the ability to be plugged directly into a traditional amplifier for live applications. The entire Escape MK-II line features classic finishes with elegant binding and ebonized fingerboard. This top of the line acoustic series from Traveler comes complete with a road worthy gig-bag; making the Escape MK-II the absolute best solution for acoustic players on the go.
Full Scale Travel Guitar
Traveler pride themselves on having never compromised the playing scale of any of their instruments, and this instrument is no exception. Featuring a full 25-1/2-inch scale and 22 frets, you'll barely remember you're playing a travel guitar.

The guitar is well made with the neck feeling especially comfortable. I was surprised at how good the neck feels. The strings sound nice just acoustically and the guitar sounds like a typical nylon string acoustic-electric through the piezo pickups and pre-amp.
This is definitely one of the better made travel guitars and doesn't feel like a toy at all. Very good for the price. You could get a better travel guitar like the ones with detachable necks but they are much more expensive. This is great value for money considering the price tag. And it is light, stays in tune well, and has the right string height (which is adjustable).

This is my third guitar. I also have a full-sized nylon string acoustic and a Fender Squire Strat. Of my three guitars, this is the one I reach for most often these days. I play it through a Roland Micro Cube amp and it sounds great. The tone is clean and crisp. Out of the bag, the action is a bit high down the neck, but I'll have this adjusted for my playing style. I haven't tried to change strings yet and have heard it can be a bit tricky with this guitar, but I'll cross that bridge when I need to. I'm not too worried about it, and the extra flexibility this guitar gives me is worth a tiny bit of hassle. I'm learning finger-style playing and this guitar does everything I could hope. It's just fun to play. It's also quite a conversation piece. Everyone is curious about it. The extra attention is fun.
