Last week some guests were here at the Casa Mojanda Mountainside Inn and Farm and had the Traveler's Ecuador Companion among their twenty or so guide books which they bought in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Actually they said they thought it was the very best one and gave us their copy when they left. I have just started reading the book and I especially like the eco-tourism section. Obviously we also appreciate that the readers' took the book's advice and stayed here. They were not disappointed!

I was thoroughly disappointed when looking at the very first map I found that the book listed two Costa Ricas in Central America, the first one overriding the presence of Guatemala (and it didn't even point out Belize!). Then I found the spelling of llama listed both correctly and incorrectly (one l) and I knew I wasn't going to be able to proceed...

I found this guide very complete, pleasant to read and very well illustrated. This guide, and others in the series we have used, are really good to read before leaving on a trip and we were very satisfied with our purchases.
