We had the 3rd edition, and we just bought the 4th edition with Guatemala and Belize. This is THE BOOK you need. Nothing else.

We found the Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping a very complete tool in helping us plan our first vacation in Mexico. It is very well structured with preliminary chapters covering a multitude of details like road network, security, food provisioning, do's and don't, border crossing procedures, listing of additional references, etc...
The listing of campsites by regions contains the right amount of information required to buld a short list prior to the final selection of a campsite especially when combined with the area or town description. The format of the book is handy and the quality and finish of the paper used makes it resistant to wear and tear normally associated with the extensive use of that type of publications.

I heard Mike and Terri speak at a FMCA rally seminar and decided to buy some of their books. Of oourse Amazon has better prices than they do...????
The books are very, very helpful if you are going to Mx in a RV/Motorhome. All of the RV parks know this book and if they get a positive review, they advertise it. That must put some pressure on the Churchs? The books are easy to use and fairly accurate but be sure to check their website for the latest info because things change and they do make mistakes. Big Bend NP is not in NM... The use of Pemex stations as landmarks is very clever and helpful since they are all numbered and the numbers are so prominent.

This is sooo useful for driving in Mexico and especially since it helps us locate RV camping places. The driving directions are very good and so far the evaluations have been dependable. We are on our 5th year of wintering in Mexico and we would hate to come without this book.

It is difficult to imagine camping in Mexico without this book in hand. It is especially important for those traveling in an RV as locations for dumping and filling are spotty at best in Mexico.

This book is a must for anyone considering an exploratory trip to Mexico. We just returned from a visit to the West Coast, Sonora and Sinoloa, to check out the beaches. We found this book indispensible for guiding us to some great places. Our GPS didn't work there, and there are very few landmarks, with vast distances between cities. That fact, and the amount of back-road driving, makes it extremely necessary to have precise directions for getting from one location to another. We could not have done it without this book.

Don't even consider an RV trip to Mexico without this excellent book! We usually spend 5-6 months in Mexico each year (PV area) and have traveled extensively in that country. We have depended upon Churches since its first edition -- and it's never let us down.
