A great book if you are looking for where to go to services or eat Kosher while traveling. And if this is your goal, this book deserves 5 stars. However, if you are looking for a book that is a general guide book with an emphasis on tourist sites with a Jewish aspect to them, continue your search. For example, for Manhattan it lists more than 50 synagogues and a similar number of Kosher restaurants, 3 mikvah and 8 bookstores, but doesn't mention the Jewish Museum (except as a bookstore).

As a Jewish RVer, I find this book invaluable to help me connect with my roots as I travel. It is the only book of its kind and it keeps me going when I want to find community during various holidays or for a Shabbat service. I'm sorry it is out of print. It is particularly helpful when you are in a smaller town or city.
