About the Author
Prior to her work as a meditation trainer, Patricia Leva, R.N., M.A., was a professional nursing practitioner in several Midwest & west coast hospitals & medical centers in the US where she carried out clinical work on neurological, neurosurgical, obstetrical, surgical & pediatric units. Most recently she was a an educator and trainer for internationally known Monroe Institute in Virginia for over a decade. Leva received a Masters of Arts degree in adult education at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. In private practice since 1982, she has owned a service agency originating as a management & organizational development consultancy in Erie, Pennsylvania & later in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been a member of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies & Energetic Medicine (ISSSEEM) & has held several offices in the Greater Cleveland & Erie chapters of American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) & an author of two ASTD regional newsletters. Her current work is referenced in Ultimate Journey by Robert Monroe (Doubleday) & in Using the Whole Brain: Integrating the Right & Left Brain With Hemi-Sync Sound Patterns edited by Ronald Russell (Hampton Roads) plus numerous magazines and journals. Levas second book focused on the out-of-body experience using commissioned brain mapping research will be released in 2001. Rather than being a teacher, Leva calls herself an Evocateer who stimulates an individuals natural learning process focused on the larger picture of life.
