From Library Journal
Using Gersten's experiences traveling in a wheel chair, the authors offer practical advice to help disabled people travel successfully. In a concise, encouraging manner, they discuss the need for a companion and the mechanics of getting one. In reviewing health issues, they cover diet, climates, packing, toilets, special problems relevant to different types of transportation, etc. Although this book is very positive and detailed in terms of personalized travel advice, other guides offer similar information. Most will find Frances Barish's Frommer's A Guide for the Disabled Traveler ( LJ 8/84) more comprehensive. For libraries with a large audience of disabled patrons. Carolyn I.
