If you are a fan of horror rock... BUY THIS ALBUM!! All the songs are great... they have found their voice in a genre that is over saturated with knock offs and cheap imitations!

Calabrese is by far the best modern horror punk band, easily the best since the Misfits in my opinion. They are not a complete rip-off of the Misfits like many other horror rock bands are. Bobby and Jimmy Calabrese can really sing, they have some of the best vocals I have heard of any genre of rock music. They have all the whoa's that fans of horror punk and the Misfits love. They are clearly influenced by the greatest vocalist of all time, Glenn Danzig, and who can blame them for that. The vocals are also strongly influenced by another of the greatest vocalists of all time, Davey Havok of AFI (the old Davey Havok). The music is influenced by the Misfits, AFI, Samhain, Ramones, and the little voice clips give them a touch of Rob/White Zombie. Bobby and Jimmy really have great range, and from what I've been told they sing just as great live as in studio. On top of that the music is incredible as well, Davey Calabrese is a tremendous drummer, Jimmy is an awesome bass player, and Bobby is a very good guitarist. Unlike most rock music nowadays, you can actually clearly hear Jimmy's bass. The music is fast, very fun, awesome melody, and very hard. These actual three brothers play in perfect harmony. I can absolutely not get enough of these guys, this album and 13 Halloweens never leave my car or computer. If you are a fan of horror rock or horror punk, whatever you want to call it, you will absolutely love this. If you are a fan of general rock music, alternative, punk, or hard rock you will most likely love this as well. Highlights of the album are Your Ghost, The House of Mysterious Secrets, Young Princes of Darkness, Night in Lonesome October, Come Alive, and Voices of the Dead. But, every song is great, absolutely no filler. Buy this album now, and spread the good word of this great band, a real rock n roll band, not like the absolute trash on rock radio these days. You have to check out Your Ghost, it is such an incredible song, one of the best I have heard in a long time!

Something different!,

I found this album to be melodically satisfying. Some of the songs on here can sound repetetive with only the chorus' melodies giving the song an individual trademark. The song intro's can be corny and even annoying. Lyrical matter is of the horror occult. Overall I would recommend this album of you enjoy the sounds of Misfits, Danzig, Michale Graves. Can have a punk and rockabilly sound to it at times.

I bought this CD for my girlfriend for her birthday and she absolutely loves it. But who wouldn't? Well, I guess you probably have to have a certain kind of taste in order to enjoy this band. If you like any kind of horrorpunk or maybe even psychobilly, you'll definitely love this CD. Very catchy. Very fun to listen to. But, I must warn you, sometimes the lead singer sounds like a bit of a weird mix between misfits (post danzig) and afi, and you might have to take a little bit of time to get used to it. But other than that, I definitely recommend adding this CD to your collection.

I love Calabrese but all of their songs sound alike and I tire easily of that.
