One of the problems I see repeatedly with products like this is that they become out of date quickly with hotels changing their pet policy. We recently took a trip from California to Arkansas that I was unable to fully plan in advance. When it came time to stop for the night we'd check the book for a city that had several pet friendly hotels listed, just in case policies had changed at our first choice, or there wasn't room. We were able to get a room at the first place we called every time.
I'd recommend the latest edition of this book to anyone traveling with a pet.

Took my wife and 130 lb Newfoundland on a roadtrip from Chicago to New York. We planned a stop about halfway through somewhere in Ohio. The hotel was given a two diamond rating making it reasonable for a quick stopover with quality and price. When we got there, we were a mile away from the state prison, half the lights were burnt out, the wall paper in the lobby was peeling and the entire street sign was out. I called the phone number listed in the book to make sure I was in the right place and that they were open. I was and they were, but I told my wife that we weren't stopping there. We lived in Manhattan for years, but I didn't feel safe there. In short, make sure you know where you're going and look up the hotel websites before making reservations.

Relatively good. It doesn't have some smaller places that I know are "Pet Friendly". It's a good resource to keep in your car if you want to stay in a well-known hotel. It didn't include many B&B's that I knew were in existance.

This is a great book if you travel with your pets. Shows MANY hotels and what animals you can and cannot bring. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat and we were able to bring our cat with us to alot of the hotels. It's wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We bought the book because we always travel with our dog. We've had problems in the past finding a motel that we would use & would also accept our pet. This book & a cell phone absolutely eliminated that problem. We would routinely call the higher rated motels in the town we would reach in the late afternoon to reserve our room & on a 4000 mile trip we never had a problem. Saved lots of time & aggravation.

This had alot of listings, but I was expecting more information than just a list of places that were pet friendly
