One of my more prized books,
By Peter Imes (Columbus, MS United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Traveling at Home (Hardcover)
One of the few books of poetry I truly enjoy. Wendell Berry has a very serene way of expressing his reverence for nature and his home. This love of home and land is apparent in every sentence and is central to his poems. Berry's language is simple but masterfully crafted, which makes reading his poetry not a burden or struggle but a pleasure.John Depol's wood envravings are a good match with the poems and adds visual elegance to the literary elegance.
