I have never heard a CD like this one! It is a rainbow bridge of sacred sound that creates a bridge for the listener to access the Divine Beloved within. It is hard to compare it with anything else out there, all I can do is use some descriptive words to attempt to relay to fellow readers the essence of this work: pure radiance.....luminous light.....open heart......beauty of the soul. This is the most sacred, honest and heart-expressed music I have ever experienced - I have been listening to it daily since receiving and each time I go on a different and deeper journey with it. By the time you have travelled through the first 7 tracks I guarantee you will feel more at peace, balanced and energized than when you began. The CD opens to the sound of the ocean and a beautiful piano piece. Then pure acappella voice delivers the Sanskrit mantra, the Gayatra, followed by a beautiful Hebrew prayer Kadosh, all with beautiful harmonies and crystal bowls in the background - a deep haunting didjeridoo plays behind Om Nama Shivaya, and then slowly the music continues to develop with more complexity in the amazing Om Mani Padme Hum when compelling rhythms enter as well. The following track Journey is a ten minute magnificent piece combining angelic vocals, ambient instruments, and culminates with a drum shamanic drum solo that you will feel deep in your bones. If all this wasn't enough, the icing on the cake is a truly transformational twenty minute crystal bowl ceremony with the 7 Rays energies that is an absolute gem for personal healing as well as much needed healing for our earth. The sound vibrations of the Rays transmitted through the crystal bowls are phenomenal. This is a gift so needed in our world right now and I am grateful it has been delivered in this exquisite form. There is no doubt about this masterpiece of healing sound - you are in for a divine treat that delivers all the way through and keeps getting better every time you listen! And it doesn't stop there - do not miss out on the companion book "Travelling the Sacred Sound Current: Keys to Conscious Evolution". This book resonates with the same divine energy of the CD and offers extensive teachings of sacred sound - each page is like a meditation with beautiful color art as it weaves together both ancient wisdoms of the masters through the ages with the author's experiential work with sound healing. There is so much packed into this book you cannot just sit down and read it once, it is a journey through the sound current and you will want it to accompany you on your journey over the years. Beyond the knowledge it contains, there is another aspect to this book that is energetic. Holding the book in my hands I can feel the higher vibrations held by its pages; you know you are holding a very special piece of work. This is brilliant, groundbreaking work that will open many to the power of sound to heal and expand consciousness. I can't say enough about this CD/Book compilation. Pure Gold for the Soul.

This CD delivers up some of the most exquisite sound healing currents I have ever experienced via a CD and certainly deserves it's recognition as Best of 2001. After a full 45 minutes of beautiful sacred mantras and chants from a range of ancient wisdoms, we are treated to a bonus meditation at the end (Ceremony of the Seven Rays) - a beautiful weave of crystal bowl harmonies with attributes of the Universal Ray energies that are presented in an very open way. The term Cosmic Christ is mentioned once but never the Christian "Jesus" as one reviewer would have us believe, that is not at all what this CD is about. I cannot understand anyone having a negative reaction to this very pure and spiritual offering unless they just aren't ready for this level of spiritual truth and beauty. This CD is a pure gem, read all the reviews to receive an accurate description. Better yet, add this to your collection, you will be divinely delighted, inspired and rejuventated.

Deborah's Sacred Sound Current CD is nothing short of transforma-
tional . Upon listening to this CD I was entranced by the sacred energy that carried a divine essence of synthesis, balance, and unity. It's healing quality is like none I have heard... the vibration, pure intention and quality is of the highest. I could feel ritual and ceremony imparted in each piece. When I was called to be officiant (interfaith minister) for a dear friend's husband's tragic death, I trusted in the divine moment to write the ceremony/memorial service. The deepest echo of impression was to incorporate Deborah's CD, particularly the chants into the sacred service. The tenderly grieving, traditionally religious were touched and healed on many levels with Deborah's voice, chants, and healing vibrational sounds. The divine energies
resounding in her CD melted the crystalization of the moment's pain and brought light and beauty to the heart's of so many. Deborah's work is cutting edge, unadulterated illumined sound vibration -- healing into wholeness those open to receive. With utmost respect for this gifted artist and healer, this is a must for all seekers of truth (becoming and being) and for those beginning the great search. Deborah guides and facilitates one's journey to the core of being with grace and divine knowing -- deepens the sojourner to individual truth's elicited by the beautiful framework of note, tone and vibration to "The Oneness of ALL That IS". I am sure the overwhelming majority of those searching for sound healing tools will find that this CD and companion book far exceeds their expectations; I have found it to contain an ocean of resources that has inspired me to keep humming along the path of sacred sound.

Rarely have I encountered a work that has been put together with such purity, heart, and soul of intention. The chants are exceptionally pure and moving; the book is overflowing with material and exercises that are presented in a beautifully inspired format. It allows someone new to the field of sound healing to catch the wave, while providing ample resources for seasoned students as well. Things don't have to be presented in a complicated way to hold deep truth and value. In fact I see the sign of a good teacher is someone who can step down the complex and make it seem easy. Used concurrently for greatest benefit, Travelling the Sacred Sound Current CD and book are a magnificent contribution to the field of sound healing. It is an extremely beautiful and sacred gift!

I give this CD 6 stars!!!! A magnificent compilation! This is sacred healing music in the truest sense of the word.

I enjoy it for personal use as well as use it as a background for work with my clients and it appeals to a broad range of tastes. There is a sincerity and pureness in this music that is hard to describe because we rarely get to experience this kind of sacred intentional sound in commercially recorded music. The difference is it was created by vibrational healer and author Deborah Van Dyke, who also produced the Crystal Voices and Sounds of Light CDs, who takes us on a rare and deep journey of beauty and harmony that never fails to touch my soul deeply. I have had many profound healing experiences while listening and meditating to this music...definitely a transmission of divine energies and delivered with heart, soul and a beautifully powerful voice. This is an amazing compilation of sacred chants which on its own would be an incredible offering, but then we are treated to a meditational ceremony on the last track that weaves beautiful harmonies of crystal bowls for personal and planetary peace which is just what our world needs right now. Deborah when is your next one coming out? I for one can't wait. Thank you for this truly exceptional gift.

This CD contains gifts of healing and sacred ceremony. It covers such an immense spectrum of sound healing that is hard to believe it could all be put together on one disc. You have to listen to this journey to understand my comments. Beautifully choreographed, it begins with the beautiful, accapella voice chants of sound healer and author Deborah Van Dyke and grows in subtle complexity with each track. Each chant has its own healing energy that works to purify the listener. There are crystal bowls, ambient sounds, and drum that are also producing a vibrational pad of healing. And when you think the CD is finally complete, we are gifted with 'Ceremony of the 7 Rays' one of the most beautiful healing meditations with crystal bowls that I have ever heard. To complement this CD, I also give the highest recommendation to Deborah's newest release "CHORDS OF THE COSMOS" (here on Amazon). This new one breaks new ground in therapeutic sound healing with crystal bowl harmonies for all the constellations (our astrological signs) based on Pythagorean chords for healing. An essential for everyone's sound healing library, you'll be wearing this one out!

I eagerly awaited this Cd/book set but was disappointed in what it actually delivered about its subject matter. The companion book text was beautifully rendered but it was almost entirely a compilation of informational "bits" from other sources, that might be inspiring for the beginner but are pretty unsubstantial if you are looking for technique. Good for beginners but the serious practitioner will need more. Russill Paul's works are far more informative and his Sanskrit pronunciations (pronunciation being VERY important when healing with sound) are correct.

I like this album, it is soothing and meditative. The music is compelling and the vocals are pleasant. Unfortunately, I can't give it a higher rating, because some of the Sanskrit words are incorrectly pronounced. I'm not trying to be picky, but you'd think that Deborah who's written a book on healing music would know how to pronounce the lyrics of her songs. With that in mind, the album is quite good.

I learned to pronounce Divine names I read in spiritual books,
but never heard chanted before, from this CD.
As a woman, following the voice of a women guide
was easier for me to echo, then male chants.
It is the perfect CD to play and chant along while ringing
my own crystal bowls and sets a relaxing, prayerful mood
before going to sleep, for me.

The album is very enjoyable to listen to. If you like a meditative type of music. Several songs are chants (or mantras) that have been put to music. I liked this one very much.
