5.0 out of 5 stars Clever and useful gadget
Kudos to the inventor of this gadget! I have a really good rolling suitcase - the Eagle Creek Travel Gear Tarmac 25 Wheeled Travel Bag, and I usually carry a matching tote bag that has a back panel that slips over the rolling suitcase handle so I can manage both bags with one hand.

But sometimes I'm not carrying a bag with a slip panel, and need a way to balance the smaller bag on top of my Tarmac 25 so I can roll them along together, instead of having to carry the smaller bag.

This gadget makes that possible. The instructions for using it are printed right on the back of it, so I was able to figure out how to fasten it to my rolling bag. And to figure it out again, the next time I used it, because I forgot in the interim. I wouldn't mind the cords on this thing being just a little longer, but it's really sufficient for even large tote bags, as far as I can tell.

I was going to get some regular hardware store bungee cords with hooks at the ends, to try lashing a bag to the top of my rolling bag, but I'm glad I found this gadget before resorting to that. It's small enough to slip into the top outer pocket of my rolling bag, taking up almost no space, when not in use.

The extended handle on my luggage, although plenty long enough for comfortable pulling, was too short for the bungee to wrap around. With a different bag, it may work fine. But I wasted my money.

Works pretty good... does take a little getting used to in order to use it correctly; thankfully it does have the instructions on the item itself so all you have to do is review the pictures on the instructions.
Came in handy on the shorter length trips where all we brought on the plane was our carry on suitcases and the one other item each of us were allowed... which in my case was a briefcase with laptop. It was welcome change having a free hand to hold my beverage rather then one hand wheeling the suitcase and the other toting my briefcase prior to purchasing this item. It does take an extra minute to setup correctly when taking the luggage out of the car, but the minute was well spent as I then had a free hand for the next hour while we waited to board the plane.

None of my baggage matches, so this bungee secures my shoulder bag to my rolling bag. It works well, and it easy to adjust.

Very handy tool when traveling with one carry-on and larger piece of luggage. Being a senior citizen, it was easy to have to pull only one item between baggage area and transportation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Useful, Handy Gadget!!, April 28, 2010
This review is from: Travelon Bag Bungee (Apparel)
We love this thing! It's very well made, sturdy, handy, small and light enough to keep in outer pocket; quick, simple and easy to use. What more can you say! You can secure your bag or jacket to your luggage with it. Could be used with rolling coolers that have a handle, as well, to hold that rolled up beach blanket or smaller picnic basket. While, it might not fit a 29" upright suitcase with a short handle quite as well; it sure fits everything smaller. Make sure the luggage hand grip you plan on attaching it to is firmly attached to your luggage, if you are setting a heavier item on top. Good investment, will buy another for my spouse!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea, but Doesn't Work With Every Bag, September 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Travelon Bag Bungee (Apparel)
I bought this in anticipation of going on a long cross-country flight for a business trip. I have the Samsonite Xspace 21.5" carry-on and laptop tote, and I was looking for a way to keep the smaller laptop tote on top of the carry-on while going down the plane aisle and while in the airport. They're both spinners and for whatever reason, even though the laptop tote perfectly fits on top of the carry-on, Samsonite didn't manufacture a fabric sleeve to slide over the telescoping handle and thus attach the second bag. I thought this bag bungee was the perfect solution, and it nearly was.

The only problem is that the bungee is only adjustable to a certain point, and it was quite frankly not big enough for my laptop tote. I was able to make due with it, but it only stretched enough to barely slip the bungee cord over the very top of the telescoping handle, thus making the bag very susceptible to falling off if not handled carefully. It still worked, but I can see where there would be room for improvement. I am keeping it, however, because I have another set of luggage that this works better for (I tested it out and no problems at all). I also think it might work for a large purse/tote to be strapped onto the carry-on, and it was only around $12 after all. I think that this is ideal for those with smaller totes or boarding bags, and the idea itself is great. The construction seems very sturdy and the instructions are printed right on the strap so you won't ever forget how to use it. I'm keeping mine for other bags and uses, but I sure do wish it would've worked out for my favorite luggage.

This was a great little gadget that helped me pack light for a trip to Europe. My goal was to bring one carry-on and strap my airline pillow and blanket to the carry-on with this device. It worked great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for keeping a smaller bag on top of a rolling suitcase, December 26, 2011

I am so glad I found this...It works perfectly on top of my rolling suitcase that goes on the plane with me. Holds an over-the-shoulder bag on top of the roller - while still giving me access. And, at security, I just put the handle into the top pocket of the roller where it is readily accessible as soon as the bag has been xrayed.
