5.0 out of 5 stars Tested RFID Blocking, works perfectly!
I like the size, look, and feel of the wallet. In my office, I have an RFID card that grants me access to doors via an RFID reader beside the door. 3.0 out of 5 stars an OK wallet
The wallet seems tough as nails. I'm assuming it really blocks RFID, though not sure how to test it. It's a rather small wallet, which rides well in the pocket. But it's small size makes getting credit cards in and out of the provided slots a chore. And it's just big enough for bills in the main part with not a millimeter of space extra. I like the wallet, just wish it...

I like the size, look, and feel of the wallet. In my office, I have an RFID card that grants me access to doors via an RFID reader beside the door. With my old wallet (leather), I just kept the RFID card in the wallet, and touched my wallet to the reader to open the door. With this wallet, it does not scan when the wallet is closed. If I open the wallet and run the inside of the wallet across the scanner, the door unlocks. If I close the wallet, no matter how I run it across the scanner, the door remains locked. With my old wallet, it would scan at around 3 inches distance. I am very happy with this purchase, the product works exactly as advertised.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better, August 18, 2010

I am very disappointed that it doesn't have a velco strap to keep it closed.

As soon as you put a single credit card in one of its slots, it flops open like a dead fish.
The wallet is very tight, even empty!

What's the point of having a RFID wallet if you can't keep it closed??
I don't care how rugged it looks. Poor design point.

And it's not simply because the wallet is new. My old wallet is 4 1/2" wide. Very comfitable size.
This wallet is only 4" wide. Very tight fit.

The slots are also very tight for credit cards. You have to struggle to rip them out.

Unfortunately, I can't find a matching RFID trifold wallet on the market.
There should be a lot more out there!

3.0 out of 5 stars Some RFID Blocking Wallet, September 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This wallet seems to be well built and should last a long time but I have two issues with it:
1. I tested is RFID blocking properties by comparing the distance my work ID badge would key the badge reader both in and out of the wallet. Out of the wallet: 4 inches. In the wallet: 1.5 inch. So the wallet blocks SOME of the signal.
2. Credit cards fit in the wallet very tightly: The wallet could be a slightly larger.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, far too small, January 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Travelon RFID Blocking Tri-Fold Wallet (Apparel)
I purchased this wallet because I have been reading a lot about rfid scanners and increased identity theft, so I wanted to protect myself. I can't speak to it's effectiveness in blocking rfid scans, so I'm going to guess that it works as described. It's major downfall, though, is that it's too tight to try to fit anything in. I carry very few cards, probably 8 or 9 on any given day, and very little cash, no more than 10-12 bills at any given time, and with these things alone the wallet is so overfull that it does not close correctly, and I'm worried that it's going to start tearing at any minute. That doesn't count the 2 spare keys I've always kept in my wallet, or the days when my roommates give me cash for bills and rent to take to the bank. The large slot that is designed for cash does not have a divider, which isn't a dealbreaker but it's annoying, and the clear slot in the middle that someone may put a photo or somesuch in is too small to even attempt to put something the size of a credit card in. It seems more like a child's wallet more than anything. If this wallet were designed with the end user in mind, it would be vastly improved, but since it is too small and tight to be comfortably useful, making a different choice would be the way to go.

I got this wallet because of the reviewer that said the signal was blocked to his wallet when held up to a card lock door. I am very familiar with these type of doors. So far, the wallet works great, is built tough, and takes some time to break in, but overall is a quality leather and nylon product.

This wallet will hold your credit cards fine, but do you have business cards that you pass out to clients? Well, no slot in this wallet is long enough for business cards

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Item, December 7, 2011

Blocks my RFID entry card for work, so I know it works. Light durable construction. Just hoping it beaks in some as the pockets are too tight in some spots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, October 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This wallet lives up to what it says. It seems to block RFID quite well, even better than I expected, and better yet the real leather makes it look just like any other wallet. It doesn't hold much, but that isn't much of a problem for me. There are six slots for cards, then one clear slot for an ID or anything else that you could find to put there, not to mention the bill slot. If you're looking for a nice clean wallet that protects from RFID hackers, then this is the way to go.

1.0 out of 5 stars Inferior, September 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I tried to put my credit cards in the card slots. Very difficult as the slots are too narrow and it was necessary to force a card in and after getting two or three cards in you almost had to use pliers to retrieve them. Useless. I just pitched the wallet in a drawer never to be used again. Wish I had my money back.
