Great Business Bag, January 24, 2011
This review is from: Travelpro Crew 8 Rolling Tote (Apparel)
I just bought this bag right before my business travel, so I have only owned it for two weeks. But I would agree with the previous review about the construction and wheels. This bag has plenty of room for all my high tech equipment (Laptop, Smartphone, MP3 player, Noise-cancelling Headphones, External Hard Drive and Travel Router) and business papers.
Just to note it will not fit in the overhead bin on a CRJ.

Great durable bag, December 29, 2010
This is my daily bag. I typically carry 2 laptops and a change of clothes which all fit very nicely inside. Very solid construction and very smooth rolling. I am a huge fan of the Travelpro Crew product line.

Handle is a huge annoyance, July 20, 2011
This review is from: Travelpro Crew 8 Rolling Tote (Apparel)
I really wanted to like this bag, as I've gotten better and better and packing light, and I wanted a little Travelpro for 1-2 night trips. (Already own a Crew 7 rollaboard, which I love.)
I tried to find pictures of the interior online, but no luck, so I finally tracked one down to try it in the store. Looks great, nice little laptop pouch, and you can make it so the bag only opens about 45 degrees or you can unsnap and let it come open all the way.
However, the telescoping handle is terrible! (The agent pulled a brand new one out of its box for me, since I wanted to see a color not on the shelf at the moment, so it wasn't due to abuse from being a floor model.)
First of all, the handle does not have two height settings, like the rollaboards and the Crew 7 rolling tote do.
That I could have dealt with, but half the time (I spent a good 15-20 minutes playing with the suitcase and thinking about whether I could deal with this flaw), the handle wouldn't collapse easily. It would stick at all 3 spots where one of the tubes fits inside another, and I'd have to wiggle it and fight with it to get it collapsed back down. The other half of the time, it would work perfectly and fall right into place, but that's not good enough for me, since of course I'd be using the handle every time I used the bag. Had to leave it sitting in the store.
