I rented this video looking for tips on touring the island of St. Thomas. Over-all, the video is well done and Shari Belafonte does a fine job of hosting. (Hostessing?) What I was looking for was more of a tour of the beaches and sights that a tourist would normally want to see if only visiting for a few hours, (cruise ships), or days. I felt that the video spent too much time on Puerto Rico, and on all the islands, too much time on local history. Sure, some history is fine, but again, I was looking for things to see and do today. Too much time was also spent on shopping. Again, showing where the main shopping areas are and the types of items that can be found there would be fine, but if expensive jewelry and perfume aren't what you're after, you're out of luck. I also would have liked to have seen a brief map of the islands to sort of get a bearing on where things were. This would help me to more economically plan my time on the islands I visit. I did enjoy the shots of the beautiful ports and the few beaches shown, and the production values on this video were also very good.
