Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The new Traxxas Blast is engineered to be fast, reliable, and easy to drive. The installed water cooling system for the motor helps keeps the Blast cool for longer run times and all day fun. With the waterproof, fully proportional Nautica electronic speed control, waterproof high-torque servo, and the patent-pending watertight receiver box, the lakeside fun doesn't end early because of wet radio gear. The Blast is always ready to make waves with its stable 24-inch deep-V hull, a stylish new hatch, fresh new graphics and powerful water-cooled Stinger 20-turn modified motor. The steerable outdrive with adjustable trim deliver precise control and high-performance tuning options. Blast delivers Traxxas speed, fun, and quality with a feature list you might not expect from such an affordable boat. The price makes it easy to double the fun by purchasing two for realistic off-shore racing action. The steerable outdrive and surface piercing prop work together with the specially designed hull to keep the Blast on a solid course, even during the most radical wave thrashing. It's exciting action in a swimming pool and powerful fun on the open water. Best of all, the Blast is fully-assembled and ready-to-run with the radio system and electronic speed control installed. You'll be challenged by the waves, not an assembly manual. Blast's colorful decals and simple operation get you out on the water and having fun, fast.

My 9 year old grandson really enjoys this boat. We live on a lake and he can run it flat out which appears to be about 15 to 20 miles per hour. The run time is about 15 minutes on a charge which is about right for his interest level. It takes about 6 to 8 hours to recharge the battery which means one run per day unless you buy a spare battery. He is ok with a single run. The first motor burned out after a few runs but the company was very helpful in troubleshooting the problem and sent me a new motor free of charge. The second motor has made 20 times the number of runs and is still running strong.

Great racing boat for a 6 year old and grown ups too! Easy to get the decorative stickers on it. Great support on line with Traxxus.com, they will tell you exactly how to get it on the water and you do need to take care of it with greasing and oiling. Bought an extra battery and charger for more play time. This boat is priced nicely and is quality, beware of boats with Chinese parts, you can not replace them. Traxxus has an easy ship plan and replacement for a part if it goes bad, not too expensive at all, like $10 for ship and the parts for this boat run about $15-$25. Take care of the boat and replacement parts can be avoided. Requires regreasing and oiling after use and dry it out, has a great stand to put it on. I am a grandmother, but I also read a lot of reviews on this boat, it is an excellent product at this price range...will go up to 20 mph., no salt water, pools, creeks and lakes.

Only thing that would make the Blast better, would be for traxxas to add reverse! Very stable in the water. 20 mph out the box. 35 by adding a 40C lipo. Ez to service. Except main shaft.Recomend this boat for any beginner.Completely upgradable as your skills grow.

I have had this boat for a couple of years now, and have nothing bad to say about it except: it takes quite a bit of maintenance. You need to oil the drive shaft using 3 in 1 multipurpose oil, which is a pain in the neck to get to the oiling hole. You should also grease the drive shaft using a marine (waterproof) grease. It is even worse to do this! There is little to no instructions on how to do this in the manual :( It isn't all that fast, but I guess it's okay for the money. Overall, I would suggest asking questions at a local hobby store (if they even know anything) before you buy this!

It's a good beginner's boat, ready to go out of the box. If you play in open water, be mindful of the distance!

Had this Boat 3 years. Electric boat butt sounds like a nitro... IDK.. SOUNDS AWESOME!! Had to replace motor due to overheating.. I put a small hole in the hatch and zip tied a small computer fan to motor to keep cool. The stock motor gets way to hot!!! I use a 20Turn HPI Saturn, great speed, stays cool, and cheap!!! R/C boats are Great, Bring a buddy!!
