Customer Reviews

They really made my car look good.

The wrench that comes with the set is an excellent little tool to have in your toolbox, and it works well with the standard stainless steering turnbuckles too.

Main chassis and front and rear skid plates are stock plastic.

I bought a Stampede about 6 years ago. I finally broke the Camber Links on my truck. My stock ones were actually just a plastic flat bar with a hole at each end. I ordered this set and after installing them and running the truck for 2 or 3 days, I drifted the truck into the side of the house. It was going 5 or 6 MPH at the time of impact since it was about to come to a stop. It barely bumped when it hit. I noticed my right rear tire was flopping left and right. The aluminum camber link turnbuckle snapped in half. Recently I found out that the newer models have steel camber link turnbuckles on them stock. So, I will be buying a set of the stock steel camber links. My toe links are already steel from the factory. My entire front and rear assemblies are all T6 "forged" aluminum parts. Mostly from STRC. The gear box is the Evolution Integy aluminum gear box. Caster blocks, steering blocks, and rear stub axle carriers are all TRX aluminum parts. And the Hex wheel hubs are GH Racing aluminum. Main chassis and front and rear skid plates are stock plastic. These aluminum parts have performed nicely and have held up to high speed brushless wipeouts on the street, to bashing in the backyard through water, grass, gravel, and mud. But the TRX aluminum camber link turnbuckles are not T6 "forged" aluminum. If you snap one you can clearly see that it is cast "pot" aluminum which is T0. Very weak. More for show or a shelf queen model. Hope this will help in your future decisions. Keep the steel links or get the steel links if you do not have them. Also, I understand having aluminum parts can add stress in other areas do to it's lack of flexibility compared to plastic. Plastic can flex under stress but is not as ridged as aluminum. They both have their pros and cons. It's personal preference.Read more ›

These Traxxas 3741A aluminum turnbuckles are versatile, affordable and very reliable when used to set up our car for high speed runs. Replaced the OEM camber links and steering links with these and have had great success.

The wrench that comes with the set is an excellent little tool to have in your toolbox, and it works well with the standard stainless steering turnbuckles too.

Our son does not use these when off-road, bashing or jumping... he likes them for street racing and smooth dirt/astroturf tracks. They have been awesome for those uses. The anodized blue color is also perfect for the setup on his Traxxas Bandit right now (blue shocks, shock towers, ,rims, etc...) so they are great looking bling with his setup.

If you are looking for turnbuckles for smooth, high speed use -- and turnbuckles that really look good on your rig -- then we recommend these for those uses.

Go for it and have fun!

Had to do a little adjusting and I also has to purchase the 2 pack of the same kind of turnbuckles that were in between the 2 sizes that comes in this pack because they went on the front of my nitro rustler with the smaller of the 2 in this 4 pack. Then I used the 2 longest one for the back. Once I installed all 6 of my turnbuckles. I just had to do a little adjusting which is way easier with these then the original ones. It also comes with a nice 5mm wrench that made adjusting them a lot easier. They really made my car look good.

Great for street, not so great for offroad/jumping. These look really nice and perform well on the street, but not meant for the off road scene. I have snapped the front turnbuckles hitting the jumps with my Rustler. I bought more, but now only use for street or light off road. When I hit the jumps, I now put back on the stock turnbuckles. Surprisingly the stock ones have always held up to abuse, just not as aesthetically pleasing.

I like the way these are designed. They are very tough. However, the longer one is too short for the Stampede measurements that are in the instructions. There is a chance that I installed it wrong. Just be aware of it.
