5.0 out of 5 stars Best Treadmill Book Available, September 17, 2004
By
Dave Olson (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Treadmill Training for Runners (Paperback)
I have purchased a couple of treadmill books. There are not many available. I have been disappointed in the other books. They were either advertisments for a brand of treadmill or were not intended for runners. This is by far the best and really the only book I have found that contains usuable info for running on the treadmill. I do a lot of my training on the treadmill and I found a lot of good tips in this book. I am a marathon runner and am using the marathon schedules. There is also a lot of information for beginning runners, which I did not need, but there appears to be great info in this book for all levels of runner. Highly recommended for any treadmill runner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Programs for all levels, August 6, 2005
This review is from: Treadmill Training for Runners (Paperback)
I do not usually write reviews, but I noticed a previous review that criticized this book for not having a complete program. I am somewhat confused by that comment because the entire last half of this book is dedicated to complete training programs for everyone from beginning runners to competitive runners. There are programs all the way from learning to run, 5K, 10K to racing a full marathon.

This is a well written and entertaining book that has been very useful to me and my family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Made me a runner, March 26, 2007
This review is from: Treadmill Training for Runners (Paperback)
This book was a great help to me in becomeing a runner. Due to my schedule I am usually unable to run outside. I must run on the treadmill, but could not motivate myself to do it. This book gave me a lot of excellent tips on the mistakes I was making when running on a treadmill and also how to correct them. And even more importantly it helped keep me motivated with several different training programs and a whole slew of workouts. I am never bored now. I have been able to improve my fitness enough that I now consider myself a runner. I even trained for a weekend 5K using the workouts here. I highly recommned this book if you must do a lot of your training on the treadmill.
