Originally released in February 1998, this album gives us the first glimpse of the immense talent in keyboardist/writer/producer Ted Stockwell, Treason's heartbeat and driving force. The album opens with a haunting instrumental, Funeral For A Dog, a lush soundscape featuring Stockwell and guitarist Karl Haug. Bus Stop Door, the first band track, thunders to the rhythms of Yes drummer Alan White and features the radio sensibilities of the well-crafted epic that it has become. Too Late slams home the fantastic Led Zeppelin influenced guitar work of Karl Haug, and the precise rhythm section in Jim Dixon and Pete Stern. The Road and Dusty Chair slow things down and showcase the bands acoustic side, while Devils Den displays the arrangemental genius these musicians possess, while giving us Yes Billy Sherwood guesting on bass with band.
Keyboard solo work on Bus Stop Door and Truce and Guitar solo work on Too Late and The Road complete the picture that Treason is a force to be reckoned with at both the creative and performance level.
Check out the album that started it all.

Pink Floyd meets Soundgarden - and they're talking Treason!I've had this album for a couple of years, and it's awesome. Best part of it is the Keyboard and Guitar work. The vocalist on this album is not as good as Jason Saunders, the vocalist on Spinning, but it doesn't matter ... there are four instrumental tracks and the band absolutely rocks. A must have !
