Sibling sleuths Kirstin and Arthur Davis are the successful partners of the Davis Detective Agency. While they’re visiting their uncle in San Francisco, a chance conversation puts them hot on the trail of 400 pounds of gold.
But someone wants them off the case . . . now.
“Arthur,” Kirstin said, her voice shaking. “You better look at this.” Before he could respond, there was a loud groan and a crack from the building over their heads. They looked up just as a chunk of cement crashed down a few feet from them.
“Let’s go!” yelled Arthur, but when they looked back the way they had come, they saw that the edge of the building had sagged almost to the ground. They heard another crack. Then another. Then came a whole series of cracks building into a thundering roar as a hundred-ton building came crashing down around them.
“Finally, a good mystery series for Christians! It's way better than any of the other mysteries I've read—Christian or otherwise.”
—Rebecca, age 13
“Wow! Move over, J. K. Rowling! You've got competition!”
—Jessi, age 11
