Editorial Reviews

Set sail with one of the world's leaders in recovering sunken treasure. Odyssey Marine Exploration gears up for its most ambitious season yet. Its goal is extraordinary: to find two of the greatest shipwreck treasures ever, valued in excess of one billion dollars! But beyond the long-submerged riches, these dedicated adventurers hope to penetrate the mysteries of dozens of never-before-seen shipwrecks and to tell the world the forgotten stories of courageous men and women, tragic endings and remarkable rescues.

The Treasure Quest Season One DVD set was everything I expected it to be. I will watch the set over and over. The quality of photography is exceptional.

My kids and husband love this video. Even after watching several times, they see new things or try and beat the adventures into seeing the objects!

Great series for anyone who likes wrecks and wreck diving and naval history. I wish they had continued making the show after the first season. The underwater footage is excellent, and they tell the background on what the guys are looking for and finding. Plus great crew interaction so you really get the feel that "you are there". Highly recommended.

What could be more thrilling than seeing the sometimes ripped-to-shreds hulls of ghostlike submarines? Episode #6 of Odyssey’s voyages to shipwrecks shows them on the quest to correctly identify a number of German U-boats. Like some other voyages to shipwrecks, this voyage is a grim flashback to the men who died serving their country. This voyage is helped by Dr. Axel Niestle, who is a German expert in the field of submarines. These episodes are always amazing to watch! (written by A.W., age 11)

I always find it fascinating hearing experts identifying objects that to my eye look like nothing. In this series, the fact that the objects being explored are under the sea added interest. And there were some very exciting discoveries made during this season. Also watching the various crew members handling the remote diving submersible and jerry rigging repairs or solutions was very interesting.

Fascinating look at what artifacts people have left on the ocean floor. Was there more than 1 season? I'd like to see more.

Questing for treasure is always exciting, like the folks who accidentally found buried cans of gold coins on their property recently. But underwater searches are very revealing, and the number of shipwrecks and their cargos are just great to discover. Odyssey's voyages take us all over, with this first season concentrating mainly in the area of the English Channel and beyond, revealing old wooden warships, submarines dating back to World War I, bottles of old champagne, and gold and silver - along with cannons made of bronze weighing as much as 4 tons. As well, the crew as a cast of characters adds to the humor of the exciting trek into under-space. You can believe that you will thoroughly enjoy these adventures and find yourself waiting for the next season to appear. The bonus of historical knowledge
