More About the Author

Tim Floyd is a story teller, Bible teacher, and shepherd along the infamous Beltway around Washington, DC. He leads Providence Baptist Church in McLean, Virginia, where God's Word is not only cherished, but practiced. Among his church family, he is loved and respected as an enthusiastic pastor, a family man, and a regular guy.

Tim is a student of the Bible who remains convinced it is the proven and inspired Word of God. Over the years, his awe and astonishment have only grown as he has seen God's grace transform lives and destinies. He is a graduate of Troy University. In his quest to search the Scriptures more effectively, he has earned advanced degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Trinity Theological Seminary. He still has a lot to learn.

Before arriving at Providence, the Floyds led churches in Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee. Tim served four years as Vice President for Communication at Evangelism Explosion International in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has traveled widely in Africa, and considers Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe a second home.

Tim and his wife Jonnel make their home near the historic Potomac River in Great Falls, Virginia. They remain infinitely grateful for the grace of Jesus Christ in their lives, and for the family God has generously loaned them.
