I disagree with the previous two reviews. I own this CD and love it. It is lovely and relaxing music that is perfect for just having as soothing background noise. Also, it is great for meditation or prayer in that it is not distracting but comforting and beautiful. As far as just being instrumental- it states that right on the cover.

Instrumental renditions of traditional Roman Catholic music from the Mass of your childhood. We are traditional "cradle catholics" and we love this CD. Great for quiet times, not at all sad or morose. If you had a Catholic upbringing, or long for traditional Catholic music, you will enjoy this CD!

For those who enjoy the old Latin hymns of the Catholic Church, this is the perfect "chill out" CD. I leave it at the office for those stressful times when I need a little break in the day. I hope there will be a second edition soon!

This DVD contains the old traditional Latin classics. Great for meditation and contemplative prayer. It reminded me of the old Latin Masses and the wonderful effects it had during those times.

Be aware that this CD is INSTRUMENTAL ONLY! If you are looking for traditional hymns, this is the "lite" version. Sounds like muzak.

I was very pleased with the CD Treasured Hymns of the Church/Catholic. I
had also ordered How Great Thou Art and like it equally well.

Bought for my Mom who was widowed this past year - a great comfort to her -

I received this CD in a relatively short time from the time I ordered it and it arrived by post mail to me in Ashburton New Zealand. The CD was better than I expected and as it is instrumental it is what I needed for quiet reflecting music that is conducive to prayerful time or just reflecting time. Its added bonus for me is that all the hymns are ones that I am familiar with and grew up singing. Thank you.

I read the reviews for this cd and bought it for my husband, however when we got the cd it is not what it claims to be.It is some other cd that has been rebadged and is not Catholic hymns. The name titles even came up different when we went to load it into our itunes library than what it was labeled. We were very disappointed and returned the item.

A pleasing but forgettable collection of instrumentals. (I've really got to start listening to these things before I buy them).

I don't find this CD particularly inspiring, but I don't hate it either.

It would make a nice singalong CD for someone practicing for the choir, but I prefer to belt out Tuba Mirum without the frustration of a specific key (or melody).
