Book Description

Treasures & Experiences July 7, 2008
This authoritative and innovative book tells the story of Beethoven's life and works, highlighting some of the most important events by the inclusion of facsimile memorabilia, much of it only available for viewing in museums around Europe. Although not as prolific a composer as Mozart or Haydn, Beethoven's work revealed a passion which rightly led to him being hailed as one of the first romantic composers. "The Treasures of Beethoven" looks at the stories behind the music and celebrates the man who, at one point, became the most famous man in Vienna, with works performed in every concert hall across Europe, and whose compositions have inspired countless generations of musicians since.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Treasures of Beethoven - the best book on Ludwig ever, February 15, 2009

This review is from: Treasures of Beethoven (Treasures & Experiences) (Hardcover)
I have always loved Beethoven. I love to listen to and play his music. He is my most favorite composer.

I have owned and read other books about Beethoven, but none like this one. I received this book yesterday as a Valentine's Day gift, and I simply love it.

Not only is the book itself amazing, but the removable document replicas are really special.

If you're as big a fan of Beethoven as I am, purchase this book. You will never find another volume on Beethoven quite like this one.
