This book entertains while also teaching you about places and situations for coin and relic hunting that you might not have otherwise considered. I found the tales of past hunts almost riveting and you probably will too, if you are interested in treasure hunting. Especially interesting information about ghost towns, ball fields, and homesteads in the midwest. Numerous pictures of relics and coins and lots of pictures of tokens. The author has much experience treasure hunting in areas that saw activity many years ago and those places are interesting to read about. The book could have used more editing but for this kind of book I found that just adds to the character of the author and the book.

A book that all new and well versed Metal detector users should read. I found the book entertaing with great hints to locating places where you can find great and small treasures. The past tales of hunts were very well written and keep me wanting to read more. Frank Hayslip is a very experienced treasure hunter who seems to enjoy sharing his ideas with everyone interested in using a Metal detector. His pictures of the relics, coins, tokens and other items found with detectors are well worth the price of the book, just seeing what you can find is a great help.
Thanks for the great book.

It was not what I expected which was a list of places you can go and use a metal detector. Mostly just generic stories by the writer on places he has gone (with very non descript directions).
