This book is beautifully illistrated and the length of the stories are just right for bedtime. The moral of the story is is stated clearly for the youngest child. My children 2-12 enjoyed listening to it read.Shalom.

My little daughter wanted me to invent stories, and a lot of classic fairy tales she already know them because of movies and TV, so I wanted something different.

This book was a very good choice because not only they were stories unknown to us, but good for learning about moral, good business practices, and to laugh.

My daughter wanted more stories, too bad it's a short book, we wanted more.

My son loves Shmuel Blitz's books. Some stories are still a bit over his head, but he likes the phrasing, language, and of course, the wonderful illustrations. The stories will be his favorites as he grows, and I like the citations provided for the stories as well (so adults can do more learning as well!).

This book has more stories and is longer than the Bedtime Book of Jewish Values, which is another great favorite of my son's (he calls it his "special book").

Wow, Shmuel Blitz is just fantastic. I bought this book a couple of years ago but my daughter (age 7) just grew into it. She discovered it on her shelf and read the entire book in one night. She was just smitten with all the stories, she was aglow when she told me about them. Since then, we read about 5 together every night. They are so wonderful! I will go ahead and order all the story collections by this author. Highly recommended.
