All I know is that I went looking for this book and after many attempts to find it, I was able to find it on Amazon. The information they gave ne was accurate. It came from a third party and it got to me as advertised. I read it and now use for reference. The information is accurate from what I know about the subject. It is a good source of information if you like railroads.some of the stories have other interpretations, but this volume has completeness going for it.

A great book of railroad history and tales. I particularly liked the Appendix where the history of the "Tangle of Gages" is told. Something for every railfan in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A side of the Railroad World I didn't know existed.., January 23, 2012

Great Book. An education for railroad fans and buffs. It's a large book, and takes some solid reading, but illustrates a side of railroading not usually seen, known about, or even guessed at. I'm looking forward to having time left from reading it to google a lot of the references in it. Buy It! You won't be disappointed..
