5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for showing appreciation, May 9, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Treat Em Right: Tasty Ideas For Encouraging Volunteers (Paperback)
This clever book contains 70 pages to reproduce, add a treat, and give to volunteers or teachers to show your appreciation. The messages relate to a specific candy, such as "You were MINT to be here", to be given to a volunteer, along with an Andes Mint, or "We can tell how much your students enjoy learning about Jesus by their Snickers", to be given along with a Snickers candy bar. A very cute and inexpensive way to say "thank you"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of wonderful ideas!!, February 21, 2003

Susan was my neighbor growing up so that made this book especially exciting. It has great ideas for volunteers or workers as we call them. We've used almost every suggestion in there for all sorts of activities... Sunday school, Sunday evening discipleship, VBS.. and lots more. Kids love to get them as well! Highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource for those working with Volunteers!, February 24, 2006
This review is from: Treat Em Right: Tasty Ideas For Encouraging Volunteers (Paperback)
Bought this book at the suggestion of another Girl Scout Leader in another area of the country...it's a PERFECT book for anyone who works with Volunteers! Simply xerox the pages as shown, and add a small snack tem, listed in the front of the book! The puns may make you cringe a bit, but your volunteers will appreciate the thought, and it WILL make them smile!
(Some items need adapting for non-church volunteers)

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, May 29, 2008
This review is from: Treat Em Right: Tasty Ideas For Encouraging Volunteers (Paperback)
This book was ideal for the marketing project I was trying to come up with. I ended up using three of the art works for one project. It enables someone to get the idea and then build upon it. Once I have used all the ideas, I hope the publisher comes out with an update.

Susan Cutshall, what can I say? God used you in an AWESOME way to create this book! We have used this book for at least the past 10 years and it never gets old!! The sayings are so catchy and the choices are limitless! We use these randomly through out the year to say "thanks" to our helps ministry worker volunteers. People love to know that they are appreciated and that their work does not go un-noticed. What better way to do that than with their favorite goody (throughout the years we passed out a "favorite" survey asking the workers what is their favorite snack and candy)! Their faces light up when they get their "Treat 'Em Right," card. The cost and effort are minimal to produce the cards. This book is sooo worth the investment!!

This book has some great ideas for volunteer recognition that can easily be adapted for staff or student recognition. I use these for quick thank you's for my teenage employees.
