5.0 out of 5 stars Great song, awesome club mix from Thunderpuss
I have to say that I have never heard of Zoe Birkett until now. I am a huge Thunderpuss fan and I saw that they remixed her single Treat Me Like A Lady and I decided to buy it, and I must say I am impressed. I really like Zoe's vocals and this is overall a great song. The best way to describe the song is that it has a disco-like feel to it, and I have to say that...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible CDS..
Can you call a 17 year old a Diva? Not this time - she has no power in her voice - hey Britney or Christina are really better. I must say i bought it for Thunderpuss mix BUT the mix is/was a total disappointment. Illicit mix is NOT a fabulous fiesta-fueled party mix and Thunderpuss mix is NOT a hard, NY-style club mix; it is NOT one of their finest remixes to date; it is...

I would have to say that this cd is worth a listen and I would recommend it to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pop Idol turned DANCEFLOOR DIVA!, February 9, 2003
This review is from: Treat Me Like a Lady 2 (Audio CD)
Tracklist: single version -3:24/ Thunderpuss Club Mix -8:24/ Illicit Dub -7:49. Can you call a 17 yr old a Diva? Well, if you could, then upcoming UK sensation Zoe Birkett would be it. Treat her like a lady? You should! Because this girl has made a great record that should have been a No1 hit on the Top 40 and not just on the dancefloor charts. A close runner-up to Winners Gareth Gates and Will Young in last year's UK Pop Idol competition, Zoe has, thankfully, opted to steer clear of the sappy ballads that the boys have gone Platinum with and kicked off her own major-label solo deal with this catchy pop/dance nugget in the Kylie/Anastacia vein. Co-written by label-mate and Pop Idol contender Sarah Whatmore, "Lady" has failed to ignite at radio in the UK, which is bizarre considering the nation's apparent devotion to the Popstars phenomenon, and peaked at No12 when it was released mid-Jan. That said, the remixes helped it to score No1 on the UK dancefloor charts; certainly no small feat for a teen pop act. Who-ever A&Red the remixes hit it spot on here -opting for a fabulous fiesta-fueled party mix from Illicit and gambling on a hard, NY-style club mix from Thunderpuss. The TP club mix is one of their finest remixes to date; hard and noisy like their remix of Jen's "Play", with a heavy, bouncing bass line and a 5 minute build up to the full vocal, filled with dancefloor fireworks! Listen out for the sudden 4 count stop, where you wonder what the hell has happened and then the music crashes back in! Brilliant stuff! It's over before you know it, which is always the sign of a good remix. The fabulous Illicit Vocal Mix, which appears on CD1, is a full-on, latin-styled pop party mix. The dub mix here is a darker, harder version that is stripped of vocal; strictly for the club kids who like it that way. Me? I prefer to sing along to the full vocal version! Highly recommended; and let's hope there is more to come from this talented young LADY. (For more of this, try: Be with you by Atomic Kitten and When I lost you by Sarah Whatmore.)

If you thought their mix of Stacie Orrico 'Stuck' was bad then think again ^_^ It was made short before the Thunderpuss duo Barry Harris and Chris Cox split and is really very pop, slow and too boring for the clubs. The Illicit Dub is not dark and i wouldn't call it hard in any way. I know many Illicit mixes but this one is no fun at all (my fav Illicit mix is Kylie Minogue's - Butterfly). This Dub we have here is very Pop and not really 'clubbish'. I don't recommend this CD. The only good thing was i bought it used and it was cheap lol.
