This is an excellent, straight-forward, guide for therapists to the stages of treating adult survivors of child abuse. Dr. Gil writes well and includes illustrative case examples of the work she describes. I particularly recommend this book as a starting point for therapists beginning to do this type of work, or for students interested in learning about this work.
