Editorial Reviews

Review

From Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, Vol. 115 (2) -February 2006:

"Well-organized and numerous radiographic images, diagrams, and bullets facilitate navigation for potential board examination review or referencing. Beneficial also for any clinician who evaluates and diagnoses diseases in the nasal, sinus, or anterior skull base region."

From RAD Magazine, September 2006, by Dr. W.L. Wong:

"... I have no doubt that this volume will find its way on to the shelf of most radiologists with an interest in ENT radiology. It forms part of a top class radiology series with 'Imaging in Treatment Planning for Sinonasal Disease' to match the best."

"This book offers an extremely comprehensive review of the nose and paranasal sinuses. It is well written and provides a high level of detail on CT and MR imaging techniques, anatomy and pathologic findings. The images are of excellent quality and supplemented by detailed anatomic drawings and microscopic appearances. … This book will be of interest not only to radiologists, but also to ENT and maxillofacial surgeons. I can highly recommend this book to you." (Kirsten Forbes, Neuroradiology, Vol. 48, 2006)

"This book provides a modern clinico-radiologic approach of the sinonasal diseases. … the authors detailed the different pathologies in a very well illustrated and didactic manner. … A detailed summary is placed in front of each chapter, allowing a very efficient lecture. … It will be a precious tool for radiologists and ENT, head and neck and maxillofacial surgeons, either confirmed or in training." (J. P. Marie, Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, Vol. 27 (6), 2005)

From the Back Cover

This book provides both basic and advanced information on the clinical presentation, imaging findings and treatment of sinonasal diseases. For each specific disease, the rationale underlying the treatment strategy is discussed and the imaging findings critical to the decision-making process are identified. This is an original approach and reflects the constant team effort at the editors' institute over the past 15 years to integrate clinical and radiological information with the aim of establishing the most appropriate treatment. Special emphasis is placed on the identification of clinical and imaging data that allow selection of an endonasal or an external approach in surgical candidates. The value of planning an integrated endoscopic and radiological follow-up in the different diseases is also thoroughly reviewed. Through the correlation of imaging with endoscopic or clinical findings, this book will enable radiologists to familiarise themselves with the "otorhinolaryngological world" and clinicians to understand more fully the significance of specific radiological findings. It will serve as an invaluable guide to the selection of imaging techniques.
