I am buying several more sets of these both for my own family and for gifts as these are the best sized children's flatware available. They are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers on up, since they are nice and skinny at the handles and easy to hold. The fork prongs actually poke through the food (instead of the early eater ones which you can't pick anything up with unless you scoop!) I feel safe letting my four year old try cutting up her own food with the knife, and the spoon has a great round shape (not flat like many baby spoons) so she can actually scoop things up! As a bonus they are so cute and snap together. Dishwasher safe (they are always being used and washed at our house!)

My son received this flatware as a Christmas present last year, and the original set is still going strong! It looks exactly as it did when he used it for the first time. There are no signs of wear or tarnishing, and the flatware's "arms" continue to fit together snugly...a true bonus when you toss the set into your diaper bag for a restaurant meal or dinner at grandma's.

Also, the size of the silverware is perfect for a growing child (ages 2+), and all the pieces in the set are truly functional! The knife cuts, the prongs on the fork actually spear food easily, and the spoon's shape and depth are helpful in scooping up applesauce and soup, with little to no mess on my 3 1/2 year old son's part. (He was so proud of himself when he managed to cut his own pancakes into bite-size pieces for the first time!)

Both my little guy and I couldn't be happier with this product! Several friends have admired our set, so we often give this flatware as a birthday gift. (I know, a little nerdy, but frankly, I like giving gifts that are as useful as they are adorable!) Don't be turned off by the relatively high price..this set is well worth the investment!

I found these on sale at TJ Maxx for $10. Initially, I passed them up because I wasn't sure I really wanted to spend even $10 on one set of flatware. I went back a couple days later for them and I am so glad I did! The overall length of the fork and spoon is an inch and a half longer than that of our other toddler forks and spoons. The length of the fork spears is longer too, though not as long as a standard fork. Short enough for my 27 month old daughter, but long enough to actually spear a bite and hold it there without it falling off. Another thing that makes this set so functional is that the fork and spoon are not flat like most toddler forks and spoons. The spoon bowl is deep enough to scoop and hold food, and it's wider too.

The only reason I'm giving them 4 and not 5 stars is because I think they're a little too pricey. If you can afford to splurge though, or you're lucky enough to find them on sale like I did, they are definitely an investment. I can see my daughter using these until she's at least 4-5 years old. I actually went back and bought a second set so I could toss all the other smaller, less functional sets we had in the drawer.

Not what I expected and would like to return it . packaging was damaged and I threw them aaway, can I return set anyway?
