4.0 out of 5 stars Great fragrance, very moisturizing

1.0 out of 5 stars Not actually Shea Butter
Just a warning, as it is not clear by the labeling or description. This is not shea butter, it a silicone moisturizer in which shea butter is an ingredient.

I have psoriasis and it's hard to find skin creams that are fun to use and yet moisturizing enough to keep the skin smoother in between and during treatments. This keeps skin smoother and yet, because of the fragrance, using it feels like a luxury - not another annoyance of routine psoriasis maintenance. The fragrance is a cross between coffee with sweetened condensed milk and cocoa butter. However, this moisturizer does come off somewhat on clothing and sheets, because it's so thick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Want Softer Skin?, October 5, 2009

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I use this body butter right after dry brushing and showering, let me tell you how soft this body butter makes my skin. It is not oily but really creamy and soothing. It is such a good product that I even use it on my face before I apply any make-up; again showing that it is in no way oily. I love this product and will continue to use forever.

Did I mention how economically it is priced? You get 3 jars for around $15.00 or so. The average bottle of lotion is around $8-10 and they don't produce results half as well as the the Tree Hut Shea Body Butter.

Best buy in terms of price and product.....you will not be able to beat this product with a stick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to Find Product at Amazon, January 6, 2009
By
It's so hard to believe so many stores stopped carrying this particular product. I don't know why,,, Tree Hut is one of the very best body butters I've ever used, and I am VERY picky about them! My hands get so dry in the winter, they crack in between my fingers and is very painful. Tree Hut butter is awesome!! I also wash my hands ALOT (I have 3 small children with 2 of them still in diapers) and I wouldn't be without Tree Hut. I hope Amazon always carries it, because when I run out I will definitely be ordering from here!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Overcome Winter's Dry Skin, January 24, 2008
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've spent the past two winters searching for something that will help correct my dry skin, especially on my hands. Friends have recommended Vaseline products, but I do not care for pertroleum-based moisturizers. So I began going through stacks of products that claimed to cure dryness.

Tree Hut's shea butters are the hands-down winners. I am particularly fond of the honey-almond variety (not presently carried by Amazon), but I've tried other varieties (brazilian nut and original), and they all work better than anything else I've found.

If dry skin is your problem too, give these shea butters a shot. You might be as comfortable in winter as summer. They are amazingly inexpensive, and a four-pack will last just about forever!

Five stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite lotion!, February 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I received this body butter (in the scent Tahitian Grass, which I think has been discontinued) as a gift and was amazed at how it actually kept my dry skin moisturized for two days during the winter! It's still the only lotion I've found that will do that. (In fact, even coconut oil doesn't do that for me!) I've since tried the Brazilian Nut scent, which is my favorite and smells a bit like coffee, but not too much. Amazon had a better deal on the Original scent so I tried that and I'm not really a fan. It smells odd on me. Still moisturizes wonderfully, but the scent doesn't work for my body chemistry or something. It smells fine on my son, though, who has even dryer skin than I do. I'm going to have to see how much my local superstore charges so I can still use it until Amazon gets a better price on the Brazilian Nut or another scent.

I definitely recommend this product, but not in the original scent! =o)

5.0 out of 5 stars It moisturizes and smells good, what's not to like?, August 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been using the Tree Hut Shea Body Butter for at least 4 years now. In my opinion it's the best thing on the market.

Things to keep in mind when using this product:
1. A little goes a long way
2. It is very thick, like actual butter
3. If you put this on when you are hungry, smelling it will only make you hungrier. (yep, it smells good!)

In the summer, I use it mostly on my elbows, knees and heels. I never have a problem with dry skin in those areas. I have a slight sensitivity to fragrance and the aroma of this product is pleasant, but not over powering.

In the winter I use it all over my body, especially after taking a shower. I no longer have the itchy skin that is normally associated with winter and it seems to help keep me warmer too.

The bottom line: I love it and will continue to use this product and it's a good buy through Amazon.

I absolutely love this body butter. So much that I now buy six at a time to make sure that I never run out! It is thick, rich and luxurious! I use it every time I get out of the shower! Good for the entire body and it really works to keep feet soft!
