This is definately one of my favorite CD's. (Have TWO of them). Lauren has such a very soothing voice that not only reaches into your soul, but heaven itself....and her voice has the ability to take you there. Sorry Enya but WATCH OUT. You've got competition here!!! Lauren's devotional singing will leave you breathless....and she is just as much a delight in person.

I wake up in the morning with the words of these songs lifting me into such smiling good fortune to be entering a new day. This music is raising my resonance and my heart and my soul. I am rising to my Joy, to God/dess to a heightened potential. I know, it may sound silly... I bring these words from the depth of my Self. Lauren's gift of this music, is a tool of great value... It is instant divine space to listen and be bathed in this pure liquid Love.

Tree of Life is a wondrous, uplifting assortment of articulate and pure vocals by Lauren Pomerantz. But much more than that, it is a unique sound healing set of songs that is deeply touching. To honor the special quality of the music, this review will forego a typical critique/comparison and venture into its healing aspect.

My first experience with this CD was while driving to work. Tossed in the car player on a long commute, I enjoyed the light and refreshing fare. That is until suddenly I burst into tears for seemingly no reason and actually had to pull over. I sat there in a state of cathartic emotional release for a couple minutes, and felt wonderfully lighter and at ease. I realized that the music had somehow been a catalyst for the experience. In the several days that followed, I played Tree of Life every day at home, each time experiencing some kind of release or emotional boost, each time with a different song taking the lead role. After about a week, I could actually listen all the way through in "normal" enjoyment. Ultimately I felt like I had been on retreat for month doing deep inner work. I have since gifted or recommended the CD to many, and although most didn't have as dramatic an effect, all remarked on its healing qualities.

I have now come to learn more about sound healing and attribute the magical powers of Tree of Life to one thing in particular; intent. I believe it is the pure, powerful intent that Lauren has focused through the music that creates the openings for healing. That's not to take away anything from the music itself, as the variety of compelling compositions and stellar soprano voice with crystalline highs will appeal to a wide audience. The lyrical melodies, refined accompaniment and devotional tone are especially soothing for personal quiet time.

Universal wisdom is inspired from, yet beyond the idea of the Kaballah. Imagine a loving eternal Mother singing life directly into the hearts of children and all of humanity. From the initiatory Middle Pillar, to the releases and surrender, aspirations of love and the divine in most songs, the call to oneness, caring and peace in Wild World and One With All, to the blessings of grace and healing available in all, culminating in Good Day - the dawning of your renewed spirit, you will experience a rejuvenation through sound that is both joyful and profound.
