I recently took my copy of Arne Schiotz's "Treefrogs of Africa" off the bookshelf after a decade of not doing so and came up for air three hours later. I was enchanted by the photos of Hyperolius hieroglyphicus riggenbachi from the highlands of the Cameroon rainforest- trying to imagine where such an exquisite animal might live- surely a rainforest paradise. I will keep my review short: if you are interested in the treefrogs of Africa, this is the book for you. In fact, if you are interested in the treefrogs of Africa, it is the only book for you.
