5.0 out of 5 stars TREEHOUSE BOOK
Excellent book with many unusual homes that can be built in trees as treehouses or otherwise....in my opinion. Glad that they had opportunity to purchase plans in the back of the book. Hope to build one of this very unusual and beautifulhomes for my daughter SOON!!!

I enjoy treehouses and collect books about treehouses. This book has some very nice pictures but some them can be found in other books and there really wasn't enough new content to justify its purchase. If it's the first one you buy, that won't matter to you. On page 152 in the chapter Building A Treehouse, the last sentence on the page is cut off and is not finished when...

4.0 out of 5 stars Photo guide to some impressive treehouses, January 6, 2010

Other than a few pages at the back of the book nominally on how to build your own treehouse (including computer graphic visualizations!) this is a picture book, beautiful photography of about two dozen most impressive treehouses. From a high-tech hideaway through castles in the trees and a few modest rooms, there's a good range of treehouse pictures. The text is sparse, giving location and a bit of a direction to what is in the pictures but not much insight into why the treehouses exist. Still, a fun book.

I enjoy treehouses and collect books about treehouses. This book has some very nice pictures but some them can be found in other books and there really wasn't enough new content to justify its purchase. If it's the first one you buy, that won't matter to you. On page 152 in the chapter Building A Treehouse, the last sentence on the page is cut off and is not finished when the text picks up again on page 155, so you're left wondering what the author was trying to convey. I e-mailed the publisher about this and was told they would look into it, but I would be amazed if I actually got any more response from them.
